My name is Amanda Flick, and I grew up in the small in Putnam, Connecticut. I just turned eighteen last September, and it seems as though my life went from very simple to extremely complicated in the blink of an eye. Being eighteen meant college, getting a job, and realizing that my home life was not as peaceful as it used to be. Living life with disabled parents, life has never been easy. But I think that the problems really amplify once you are old enough to actually understand them. Now I am going to college, living in my boyfriends apartment, and all at the same time trying to be a  good Christian and retain some of my sanity.
